The Eye Care Center of Lake County was established in 1968 to offer Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin eye care patients the most convenient and comprehensive advanced eye health and vision care available today. Our multiple locations in Gurnee, Vernon Hills and Lake Villa are staffed by Illinois Board Certified Ophthalmologists and Optometrists as well as an experienced and caring technical staff. Our goal is to provide superb quality eye care in a convenient and professional setting with attention to your comfort.
Our Office Hours
Gurnee-Our Gurnee office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Wednesday between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:30 pm and on Saturday between the hours of 8:30 am and 12:00 pm.
Vernon Hills-Our Vernon Hills office is open Monday through Thursday between the hours of 10:30 am and 6:30 pm, Friday between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm and Saturday between 8:30 am and 12:00 pm.
Lake Villa-Our Lake Villa office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between the hours of 8:30 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, on Saturday between the hours of 8:30 am and 12:00 pm. The office is closed on Wednesdays.
About Your First Visit
We strive to provide you and your family with the best possible patient experience. Please arrive to the office a 15 minutes early so that our staff can meet you and properly gather all necessary information. In advance, you may print out and complete the new patient packet located in the Patient Forms section of this website. Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
About Insurance
The Eye Care Center of Lake County participates with most major insurance companies. However, it is very important that you understand your specific insurance policy and adhere to any requirements such as obtaining a referral prior to your appointment. Please call your insurance company or if you are an HMO patient call your primary care doctor for any questions about your policy.
Cancellations
Should you need to reschedule your appointment, we would ask for 24 hours notice.
Emergency Care
During business hours, patients should call any of our office locations to speak with a staff member. After business hours, our answering service is available 847-596-4512 to route your call to a member of our on-call patient care team. Please note, any patient with a medical emergency is advised to dial 911 to receive emergency medical care.
