James R. Crawford, O.D. is an Optometrist and Contact Lens Specialist at Eye Care Center of Lake County with offices in Gurnee, Vernon Hills and Lake Villa Illinois. Dr. Crawford received his Doctorate of Optometry Degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and joined the Eye Care Center in 1986.
Dr. Crawford sees many types of eye care patients including those in need of general eye examinations, contact lens fittings, contact lens problems, pre and post operative care of LASIK Surgery patients, pre and post operative care of Cataract Surgery patients, diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy, diagnosis of macular degeneration (ARMD) and the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Crawford has developed the skill to manage any type of medical or refractive eye disease. He has dedicated a large part of his practice to difficult contact lens patients.
He is active in the Lake County civic community and is a Founder of the Alex Memorial Golf Tournament and past President of the Breakfast Exchange Club in Gurnee.
