Barry L. Seiller, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist at Eye Care Center of Lake County with offices in Gurnee and Vernon Hills Illinois. Dr. Seiller received his Medical Degree from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago followed by an Internship and Residency in Ophthalmology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.
Dr. Seiller sees many types of eye care patients including those in need of general eye examinations, eye muscle surgery for crossed eyes or strabismus, pterygium removal, eyelid surgery, diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy, diagnosis of macular degeneration (ARMD) and the diagnosis and medical treatment of glaucoma. He is an experienced LASIK Surgeon who is available for consultation for Laser Eye Surgery for the Laser Vision Correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists, Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society, Illinois State Medical Society and the Lake County Medical Society. He earned an Executive M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and is a charter member of the Little Fort Lions Club.
Dr. Seiller is the Founder and Medical Director of the Eye Care Center, the Low Vision Rehabilitation Center and the Visual Fitness Institute. He serves as a Member of the Review Board for the College Entrance SAT Examination Board and as an Evaluator for the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services Bureau of Disability Determination Services.
